<br />RESOLUTION NO. 98-061
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 14th day of
<br />December, 1981, by motion reflected in the minutes, approve the Comprehensive Master Plan for
<br />the City of Paris; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 26th day of
<br />September, 1997, in Ordinance No. 97-047, adopt a budget for the 1997-1998 fiscal year, which
<br />budget included therein funding for the development of an updated Comprehensive Master Plan;
<br />and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City of Paris did heretofore request Statements of Qualifications from
<br />consultants and conduct interviews with the top four (4) candidates; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, after conducting said interviews, the City Engineer recommends the selection
<br />of Bucher, Willis & Ratliff Corporation to provide planning services related to the preparation of
<br />a Comprehensive Master Plan; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the form of the Agreement for Planning Services, attached hereto as Exhibit
<br />A, should, in all things, be approved, and the Mayor, Charles H. Neeley, should be authorized
<br />to execute the same; NOW, THEREFORE,
<br />
<br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that the
<br />form of the Agreement for Planning Services with Bucher, Willis & Ratliff Corporation for the
<br />development of a Comprehensive Master Plan, attached hereto as Exhibit A, should, in all things,
<br />be approved; and,
<br />
<br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor, Charles H. Neeley, be, and he is
<br />hereby, authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of the City of Paris, the Agreement for
<br />Planning Services with Bucher, Willis &Ratliff Corporation, under the terms and conditions and
<br />in the form shown in Exhibit A, attached hereto.
