A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PARIS, MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the terms of office of Claudia Hunt, Sue Lancaster, and Jerry Raper, as members of the Historic Preservation Commission of the City of Paris, will expire on July 31,2006; and, WHEREAS, the term of office of Becki Norment, as an alternate member of the Historic Preservation Commission of the City of Paris, will expire on July 31, 2006; and, WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Paris does hereby recommend the appointment of Sharon Nabors and Susan Scholz, as members, for a term of two (2) years, beginning August 1, 2006, and ending July 31,2008; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. That Sharon Nabors and Susan Scholz be, and they are hereby, appointed to serve as members of the Historic Preservation Commission of the City of Paris for terms of two (2) years, beginning August 1, 2006, and ending July 31, 2008. Section 3. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage.
