<br />Memorandum <br /> <br />From: <br /> <br />Tony Williams, City Manager I <br />n L(~(-v"'-- <br />John D. lestock, Assistant City Attorney Y <br /> <br />Items for August 14, 2006 City Council discussion-limiting <br />the number of pets and dangerous dogs. <br /> <br />f.. .,/ ~.': ,':..J'-. <br />, I' __\::...-; <br />'" .r-:r <br />\ <br /> <br />To: <br /> <br />Subject: <br /> <br />Date: <br /> <br />July 28, 2006 <br /> <br />As a result of the City Council meeting held on July 24,2006 item 12, <br />Possible Future Agenda Items, I have located and am enclosing a copy of section <br />13-10 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Longview, Texas as an example of <br />language that could be used, if the City Council wishes that a draft ordinance be <br />prepared which would limit the number of pets in the City of Paris. <br /> <br />Also enclosed are sections 822.041 through 822.047 of the Texas Health and <br />Safety Code concerning dangerous dogs. A violation of the Health and Safety <br />Code is either a class C, or B, or A misdemeanor.
