We are an infonnation and <br />referral service that covers the entire state of Texas. 2-1-1 is regulated by the Texas Health and <br />Human Services Commission and we are a part of Homeland Security. <br /> <br />A 2-1-1 Texas call center is in your area and is located in Sulphur Springs, Texas at CAN Help. <br />You are part of the North East Texas Region of 2-1-1. We cover nine counties; Bowie, Cass, <br />Delta, Franklin, Hopkins, Lamar, Morris, Red River and Titus. <br /> <br />How to utilize 2-1-1 Texas: <br /> <br />· 2-1-1 is a fast, free, confidential phone number connecting you with help in the East <br />Texas area just when you need it. <br /> <br />· Dial 2-1-1 from any phone anywhere in Texas <br /> <br />· 2-1-1 is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. <br /> <br />· 2-1-1 Texas is there to help find rent and utility assistance, food, emergency shelters, <br />employment help, medical and mental health assistance, transportation infonnation and <br />more. <br /> <br />· When you call 2-1-1 you will speak with a live, trained professional. <br /> <br />· 2-1-1 speaks your language; we currently have interpreters for over 150 languages. <br /> <br />· 2-1-1 is active in crisis intervention, caller advocacy and emergency response activities. <br /> <br />· 2-1-1 supports the community by assessing and reporting about individual needs, <br />identifying gaps in services and working proactively with agencies and community <br />planners to address the needs of the people of East Texas. <br /> <br />For any questions or concerns regarding 2-1-1 Texas please contact: <br />Echo Gregory, MSW <br />Assistant Director/Outreach and Community Development <br />echo@canhelponline.org <br />903-885-9797 <br /> <br />.:: <br />
