A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING ADDENDUM NO. ONE TO THE INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF PARIS AND THE NORTH LAMAR INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR PROVISION OF SCHOOL RESOURCE OFFICER SERVICES DATED AUGUST 14,2006; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 14th day of August, 2006, in Resolution No. 2006-110 approve and authorize an Interlocal Agreement with the North Lamar Independent School District for provision of School Resource Officer Services; and, WHEREAS, the City of Paris and the North Lamar Independent School District deem it appropriate to amend said Interlocal Agreement concerning the utilization of police officers during the summer months, the accumulation of compensatory time during the summer months, and the payment of said officers during the summer months when they are working for the City of Paris and not for the North Lamar Independent School District; and, WHEREAS, the form of Addendum No. One to said Interlocal Agreement, attached hereto as Exhibit A, should, in all things, be approved, and the Mayor be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute the same on behalf of the City of Paris; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. That the form of Addendum No. One to the Interlocal Agreement between the City of Paris and the North Lamar Independent School District, attached hereto as Exhibit A be, and the same is hereby, approved. Section 3. That the Mayor be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the City of Paris Addendum No. One to the Interlocal Agreement with the North Lamar Independent School District dated August 14, 2006, under the terms and conditions and in the form shown in Exhibit A, attached hereto.
