<br />MINUTES <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />CITY OF PARIS HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PARIS CITY HALL <br />CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br />107 E. KAUFMAN STREET <br />PARIS. TEXAS <br />MONDAY. SEPTEMBER 25. 2006 <br />4:00 O'CLOCK P.M. <br /> <br />1. The Historic Preservation Commission meeting was called to order by <br />Chairman Arvin Starrett at 4:00 P.M. <br /> <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Arvin Starrett, Chairman <br />Sharon Nabors <br />Paul Denney, Vice-Chairman <br />Pike Burkhart <br />Nancy Partridge <br />Susan Scholz, Secretary <br />Alternate: Brian Wear <br /> <br />The following members were absent: <br />Ann Rogers <br />Alternate: Vanessa Preston <br /> <br />B. Also present was Lisa Wright, Historic Preservation Officer; Beth <br />Golden, Main Street Coordinator. <br /> <br />2. Approval of minutes from previous meetings. Motion to approve the minutes <br />for September 6, 2006, was made by Brian Wear, seconded by Susan Scholz. <br />Motion carried 7-0. <br /> <br />3. Consideration of and action on the following Certificates of Appropriateness: <br /> <br />A. Southwest corner ofW. Kaufman and 2nd Street S. W. (Old Liberty Bank <br />Drive- Through) - Richard Hunt, 405 W. Kaufman, is proposing to install <br />carriage-style doors over the openings in the old drive-thru. There will <br />not be much metal left showing, 10' in 3 places. He stated that he plans <br />to eventually stucco or plaster over the metal. The materials will be <br />smooth western cedar, and the current plans are an opaque stain. He <br />stated he preferred natural gray, which looks like an old livery stable. <br />He will come back later with color. Motion was made to approve the <br />COA by Paul Denney, seconded by Susan Scholz. Motion carried 7-0. <br /> <br />r" <br />
