<br />Minutes <br />Traffic Commission <br />City of Paris <br /> <br />The Traffic Commission met on Tuesday, November 14, 2006, at 5:15 P.M. in <br />the Municipal Courtroom with the following members present: <br /> <br />1. Ed Seidle <br />2. George Kimbrough <br />3. Tom Calabria <br />4. Mary Walthall <br />5. Ray Banks <br /> <br />The city staff was represented by Assistant Chief of Police Bob Hundley. <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 5: 17 by Acting Chairman Ed Seidle. <br /> <br />Mr. Seidle asked the commission members to review the submitted minutes of <br />the October 3,2006 meeting. Mr. Kimbrough made a motion to approve the <br />minutes which was seconded by Mrs. Walthall. The motion carried 5-0. <br /> <br />Mr. Seidle then moved to item #3 for any staff reports. AC Hundley gave an <br />update on Council action regarding Texas Department of Public Transportation <br />speed limit changes. Ordinances had been passed regarding the speed limits on <br />Church Street (SH 19/24) #2006-040, speed limits on SW 19th Street (FM 137) <br />#2006-039, and speed limits on US 82 (2006-043) from the western city limits <br />around the NW and NE Loop 286 to Pine Mill Road. The commission members <br />reviewed the speed maps provided by TxDOT and had no concerns or requests. <br /> <br />Mr. Seidle moved to item #4 Open Government Training. Commission members <br />then watched the training DVD provided by the Office of Attorney General of the <br />State of Texas regarding open meetings. <br /> <br />After the DVD presentation, Mr. Seidle moved to item #5 and asked the <br />commission members for requests for future agenda items. Mr. Kimbrough had <br />a question as to status of Price Street on the north side of the courthouse. Mr. <br />Seidle asked that we consider a speed study for the 4100-4200 block of Bonham <br />Street due to a new housing development on the south side of the roadway. <br /> <br />Mr. Seidle then asked for a motion for adjournment. Mr. Kimbrough moved for <br />adjournment, Mrs. Walthall seconded and meeting ended at 6:45 PM. <br /> <br />Bob Hundley <br />Assistant Chief of Police <br /> <br />,- n r r"-""'''''''' . -, <br />
