<br />BIOGRAPmCAL INFORMATION <br /> <br />Ernest R. Clark <br />Tyler, Texas USA <br /> <br />Ernie Clark graduated from West Texas A&M University in Canyon, TX in January of 1965, <br />after serving ten years in the u.s. Air Force. He has held the top management position in a <br />number of governmental operations over the past 35 years. <br /> <br />He started his career with the City of Amarillo, Texas, as an Administrative Assistant and also <br />served as Recreation Director, Safety Training Officer, and Assistant Personnel Director. <br /> <br />He served as Assistant City Manager in Stillwater, Oklahoma, for two years before being <br />appointed the first Executive Director of the Texas Panhandle Regional Planning Commission, <br />which covered 25,000 square miles of the Texas Panhandle. <br /> <br />In 1975 he was appointed City Manager of Kingsport, Tennessee, and served in that position for <br />four years. He served more than thirteen years as City Manager of Bryan, Texas, which <br />generated and distributed electricity to the City and three adjoining counties. <br /> <br />Ernie retired in Tyler, Texas, after serving more than five years as their City Manager. <br /> <br />He has a varied consuhing background in Management and Training for governments, <br />businesses, and industries. He was a consuhing partner with HBC & Associates of College <br />Station for eight years. He is associated with Dr. Gary Halter of Texas A&M University in <br />Governmental Management Training. <br /> <br />He is the CEO of Diogenes Management Strategies, Inc., a management and training consulting <br />rum. <br /> <br />Ernie serves as Vice President of Planning, Life Languages Institute, of Dallas, Texas, and a <br />consultant to Family Restoration Network of Dallas, Texas. He serves as President of Tyler <br />Sister Cities, Inc., and is a member of the Tyler Sunrise Rotary Club. He is a member of Gideons <br />International and recently serves as president of his church congregation. He also is a member of <br />the Board of Directors of the Better-Business Bureau of East Texas and the Board of Directors of <br />Goodwill Industries. <br /> <br />Employment history: <br />March 1965 - June 1968: Amarillo <br />June 1968 - June 1970: Stillwater <br />June 1970 - Dec. 1974: PRPC, Amarillo <br />Jan. 1975 - Feb 1979: Kingsport, 1N <br />Feb. 1979 - Dec. 1991: Bryan, TX <br />Jan. 1992 - Sept. 1997: Tyler, TX <br /> <br />1" ~... ,. ...~ <br />
