Paris Public Library Advisory Board
Minutes of the Regular Meeting
November 15, 2006

The Paris Public Library Advisory Board met in regular session Wednesday afternoon, November 15, 2006, at 4
0' clock in the Library Gallery. Chairman Bill Kennedy called the meeting to order. Other members in
attendance were Fran Neeley, Deborah Hatley, Jake Street, and Audrey Lakes. Also in attendance were Priscilla
McAnally, Library Director; and Amanda Green, Friends of the Library President.

The minutes of the October meeting were approved with the correction of the spelling of Steven Sintal's name.

Commercial Flooring has measured the library for carpeting. They will provide estimates on both carpet tiles
and roll carpeting.

Dr. Green reported that the Friends luncheon, though not well-attended, was an enjoyable event, and it did bring
in memberships from the mailout. She presented several ideas for the memorial wall. The retirement party for
Emily Kirkman was well-attended.

The budget and statistical reports for October were presented. The only unusual expense was an increase of
about $2000 over the estimate for heat/ac repair. The statistical report showed increases over last year in
circulation, library visits, new library cards, programs, new items, and reserves.

Betty McGrew Robinson is the new part-time clerk. She will start with shelving and eventually do circulation.
Applications are being accepted for the children's librarian position.

Since December is a holiday month, the board will be notified of the monthly meeting time and place.

There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 4:45 p.m.

Debbie Anderson, Secretary

r-
