<br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
<br />PARIS, TEXAS, REAPPOINTING DR. DA VID CARPENTER, MRS. DENISE
<br />WILLIAMS, MR. LARRY REAVES, DR. GORDON B. STROM, JR., AND
<br />DR. CAROLINE WILSON AS MEMBERS OF THE PARIS-LAMAR
<br />COUNTY BOARD OF HEALTH; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND
<br />PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN
<br />EFFECTIVE DATE.
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the terms of office of Dr. David Carpenter, Mrs. Denise Williams, Mr. Larry
<br />Reaves, Dr. Gordon B. Strom, Jr., and Dr. Caroline Wilson, as members of the Paris-Lamar County
<br />Board of Health, will expire on December 31, 2006; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Paris, with the advice of the County Judge of Lamar
<br />County, Texas, does hereby recommend the reappointment of Dr. David Carpenter, Mrs. Denise
<br />Williams, Mr. Larry Reaves, Dr. Gordon B. Strom, Jr., and Dr. Caroline Wilson, for terms of two
<br />(2) years, beginning January 1,2007, and ending December 31,2008; NOW, THEREFORE,
<br />
<br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS,
<br />TEXAS, AND THE COMMISSIONERS COURT OF THE COUNTY OF LAMAR:
<br />
<br />Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things
<br />approved.
<br />
<br />Section 2. That Dr. David Carpenter, Mrs. Denise Williams, Mr. Larry Reaves, Dr. Gordon
<br />B. Strom, Jr., and Dr. Caroline Wilson, be, and they are hereby, reappointed, to serve as members
<br />of the Paris-Lamar County Board of Health for terms of two (2) years, beginning January 1,2007,
<br />and ending December 31, 2008.
<br />
<br />Section 3. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage.
<br />
<br />PASSED AND APPROVED this 8th day of January, 2007.
