MINUTES REGULAR MEETING AIRPORT ADVISORY BOARD COX FIELD AIRPORT TERMINAL MEETING ROOM PARIS. TEXAS THURSDAY. JANUARY 18. 2007 5:30 O'CLOCK PM 1. The Airport Advisory Board meeting was called to order by Chairman Vic Ressler at 5:30 p.m. A. The following members were present: Vic Ressler Glen Chapman Bill Boothe Jack Ashmore Harry Michaelwicz Ronnie Ballard Andrew Fasken B. Also present was Lisa Wright, Airport Director; and Jerry Richey, Airport Manager. 2. Approval of minutes from previous meetings. Minutes of the October 12, 2006, meeting were approved as presented. 3. Inviting Billy Copeland to serve as an Honorary Member of Airport Advisory Board. Andrew Fasken stated that he liked serving on the Board; however, Billy would make an excellent member. He said he would be glad to give him his spot if the Mayor would agree to appoint him. Mr. Fasken stated Billy is a hard worker and would be more effective for the Board than he was. No action was taken pending Mr. Fasken's discussion with the Mayor. 4. Discussion of and possible action on activities for the Second Annual April in Paris Fly In. Lisa Wright stated she requested $2,000.00 from City Council in the budget, which was granted; however, they will still try and fund-raise the event. She stated that they will also have schedules printed up and posted everywhere, which will help. Bill Boothe asked what about a fly around the city to drum up interest. Glen Chapman stated we need to get flyers out ASAP. Harry Michaelwicz stated we should invite and feed these guys and give hotel discounts to get them here. Glen Chapman will work on RV's. Jack Ashmore stated people loved the static displays, so we should get more airplanes to look at, including the model planes - those were a big hit. r' .
