<br />&iddffiflnk' <br /> <br />Life Connected- <br /> <br />January 30, 2006 <br /> <br />Ernie Clark, Interim City Manager <br />City of Paris <br />150 SE First Street <br />Paris, TX 75460 <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Clark: <br /> <br />RE: Notice of Price Changes in Paris <br /> <br />Like many other companies, ours has experienced significant year-over-year cost <br />increases, most notably in the costs of cable TV network programming and the energy <br />used to operate and maintain our network. <br /> <br />Effective with the March 2007 customer bills in this area, the standard monthly rate for <br />Limited Basic service will increase from $13.99 to $15.99, Expanded Basic service will <br />decrease from $27.51 to $26.00, and the monthly rate for Digital converter boxes will <br />increase from $4.15 to $4.99. Taxes and fees will be adjusted accordingly. The rate for <br />HD/DVR receivers will not be affected. In anticipation of these changes, Suddenlink <br />Communications will notify subscribers via a legal notification in The Paris News on or <br />before February 1, 2007. <br /> <br />Additionally, please see the attached letter regarding "grandfathered" Expanded Basic <br />accounts that will be delivered to a portion of our subscribers. You will note that there is <br />a scheduled increase of $3.00 per month for those subscribers; however, they will <br />receive 12 additional channels to their Expanded Basic lineup. <br /> <br />Suddenlink is investing a great deal to provide its customers with the best, most reliable <br />communications services in this area. We are also encouraging customers to contact <br />our customer care representatives, to investigate the value of bundling their current <br />video service with broadband (high-speed Internet) and telephone service, because <br />bundled pricing could help them save hundreds of dollars per year over what they're <br />currently paying to multiple providers. <br /> <br />Thank you for taking time to review this information and please don't hesitate to contact <br />me wi ny questions may have.
