<br />Hello All,
<br />The date is confirmed for the Lamar County Day in Austin, below are the details and I will need to hear from all of
<br />you as soon as possible if you plan to attend. The Reception will be in the Longhorn Room at the Double Tree
<br />from 6:00-7:30 p.m. on Tuesday the 27th, this reception will be with Mark Homer and Kevin Eltife, Hors d'oeuvres
<br />and drinks will be served. We will walk over to the Capital on Wednesday and meet with scheduled speakers,
<br />have a group photo on the steps of the Capital and we should be finished by lunch (agenda will be announced on
<br />later date).
<br />
<br />Dates: March 27th & 28th (Tue. & Wed.)
<br />Where: Double Tree Guest Suites Austin, room rates are $179 per night plus taxes. Parking fee is $12 per day for
<br />self-parking in the underground garage. As you know parking options are very limited in the downtown area.
<br />We will also have a nominal Reception fee for those attending (fee to be assed once we know how many will be in
<br />attendance ).
<br />A phone number to make your room reservations will be sent out as soon as I can get the room block locked in.
<br />
<br />Also, there is some discussion about the possibility of taking a Bus as our transportation to and from Austin. This
<br />will be an added increase to the package price and I can't even being to figure a price for everyone until I know
<br />who will be attending!
<br />Bus rental fees are very expensive, and I do know that we would need to have at least 40 people to confirm
<br />before we would break even on the price.
<br />Rodney has asked that I survey everyone to see how many want to take a bus or opt to take your own vehicles.
<br />Please reply back and let me know your feelings on this as well as your attendance for Lamar County Day in
<br />Austin.

<br />Our new Ex. Director, Pete Kampfer will be going with us and we do hope that all of you will consider clearing
<br />your schedule to help us have a great representation for Lamar County!
