SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF PARIS February 21, 2007 The City Council of the City of Paris met for a special meeting at 6:00 P. M. Wednesday, February 21, 2007, at the City Council Chamber, 107 E. Kaufman, Paris, Texas. Present: Mayor: Richard Manning Council Members: Tim Ray; Curtis Fendley; Mary Ann Fisher, Mayor Pro Tern; Kevin Gray; Jesse James Freelen; and Don Wilson City Staff: Ernie Clark, Interim City Manager; Kent McIlyar, City Attorney; and Janice Ellis, City Clerk 1. Mayor Manning called the meeting to order. Ernie Clark gave the invocation. 2. Pledge of Allegiance. Council Member Ray led the pledge. 3. Discussion, consideration and action on a resolution ordering a city-wide special election on Saturday, May 12,2007, to consider propositions calling for amendments to the City Charter. Mayor Manning asked Council if they had any questions or concerns. Council Member Ray stated the Committee did a fabulous job and Council should take it to the voters. Council Member Fisher reiterated Council Member Ray and in addition, stated that she supported the document presented by the Committee one-hundred percent. RESOLUTION NO. 2007-105: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, ORDERING A SPECIAL CITY-WIDE ELECTION FOR THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, TO BE HELD ON THE SECOND SA TURDA Y IN MA Y 2007, SAME BEING THE 12TH DAY OF MAY 2007, BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 7:00 O'CLOCK A.M. AND 7:00 O'CLOCK P.M. BY THE QUALIFIED VOTERS OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, WITH EARLY VOTING FOR THE SAME BEING CONDUCTED IN THE CITY HALL ANNEX WEST, FROM THE 30TH DAY OF APRIL 2007, THROUGH THE 8TH DA Y OF MA Y 2007, MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY, BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 8:00 O'CLOCK A.M. AND 5:00 O'CLOCK P.M. WITH ADDITIONAL HOURS OF 8:00 O'CLOCKA.M. UNTIL 8:00 O'CLOCK P.M. ON THE 30TH
