<br />MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL <br />MEETING OF THE <br />MAIN STREET ADVISORY BOARD <br /> <br />January 9, 2007 <br />City Hall Council Chambers <br />107 East Kaufman Street <br />4:00 p.m. <br /> <br />A meeting of the members of the Paris Main Street Advisory Board was held Tuesday, January 9,2007 <br />at 4:00 p.m., at City Hall Council Chambers. Casey Rose, Chairman, presided. <br /> <br />PRESENT: Jennifer Long (Vice Chairman) ABSENT: <br />Cindy Allcorn <br />Pike Burkhart (All.) <br />Zach Saffle <br />Walt Brown <br />Karol Lyn Moore (Alt.) <br /> <br />Linda Knox <br />Drew Crawford (All.) <br />Matt Coyle (All.) <br />Lisa House <br /> <br />Others present included Becky Semple, Director, V&CC, Greg Skidmore, Archers for Christ and Lisa <br />Wright, Director of Community Development. <br /> <br />Minutes <br />December 20,2006 minutes were reviewed by advisory board members and a motion was made by <br />Zach Saffle to approve the minutes as prepared. Walt Brown seconded and minutes were <br />unanimously approved. <br /> <br />Logo <br />A proposed Main Street logo was presented to the board. Board member Walt Brown made a motion <br />to approve the Main Street logo as presented. Karol Lyn Moore seconded the motion. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />ASA Tournament <br />Greg Skidmore spoke to the Main Street Advisory Board about the ASA Tournament. He gave an <br />overview of the tournament and schedule of events. The Pro-Am tournament is held in 6 cities <br />nationwide, Paris being one of the stops on the tour. Event is open to all ages with an expected 1,000 <br />to 1,500 entrants, not counting their families and spectators. He is anticipating a large number of <br />entrants based on the centralized location of the event. The event is held Friday, Saturday and <br />Sunday. Friday will be the lightest day for concessions and parking. Friday night there is a free <br />concert and catered barbecue dinner. Based on information from Mr. Skidmore, we should plan on <br />running the concessions & parking from 6am - 5pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We anticipate that <br />Sunday will be a very busy lunch day with participants leaving around 2 p.m. Plans are to share the <br />expenses of purchasing the products for the concessions with the Chamber of Commerce and then <br />splitting the profits with them as well.
