<br />ATTACHMENT lIE <br />P AIDS POLICE OFFICER <br />TRAINING / REVIEWS <br /> <br />1. Training on Equipment: All officers of the Department are <br />trained in the proper use of the VCR during their four month <br />field training program and also on the job. <br /> <br />2. Training of Personnel: All officers are trained and instructed <br />as to the state law regarding the racial profiling law, <br />(S.B. 1074). They also receive mandatory cultural diversity <br />training. All officers have been instructed in the policies and <br />procedures regarding racial profiling and the accompanying <br />complaint process as well. <br /> <br />3. Reviews: All officers have their video traffic stops reviewed <br />quarterly by their respective patrol shift supervisor who <br />completes the aforementioned review form. The reviews are <br />conducted randomly without forewarning. The forms, once <br />documented, are then filed and maintained by the department <br />training officer. <br /> <br />27 <br />
