RESOLUTION N0. 2007-032 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />TEXAS, ACCEPTING AND APPROVING THE REVISED BALLOT FOR <br />THE PROPOSED CHARTER AMENDMENTS ATTACHED HERETO AS <br />EXHIBIT "A";MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED <br />TO THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, on February 2 1, 2007, the City Council for the City of Paris adopted Resolution <br />No. 2007-015 calling a special election for the City of Paris on May 12, 2007, to consider seventy- <br />two (72) propositions to amend the City Charter; and <br />WHEREAS, in preparing the sample ballot for the Special Election, certain corrections and <br />consolidations were made to clarify and simplify the ballot; and, <br />WHEREAS, the revised ballot now contains seventy (70) propositions to amend the City <br />Charter and is attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit "A"; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS: <br />Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble of this resolution are hereby in all things <br />approved. <br />Section 2. That the revised ballot attached hereto as Exhibit "A" shall replace the ballot <br />attached to Resolution No.2007-015 and the revised ballot is hereby in all things approved. <br />Section 3. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice and publication of the revised <br />ballot as required by law. <br />Section 4. That this resolution shall be effective from and after the date of passage. <br />PASSED AND APPROVED this 6th day of March, 2007. <br />Richard Manning, Mayor <br />
