May 12, 2007. <br /> <br />The District and the City agw.: to share common polling places as detailed 011 Exhibit R on thL: uniform <br />election date. <br /> <br />The Distric! and the City will e<lch hold t:arly voting separately. The District will halo early voting at <br />the Elaine BallanJ Administration Building, 1920 Clarksvillc. Paris. Tcxa:i. and at branch early voting <br />sites as detailed on Ex.hibit C. The City will hold c[\rly voting at City Hall Annex, J 50 - SE 151 Street, <br />Paris, Texas. <br /> <br />The District ilnd the City will cach be solely responsible for expenses related to early voting at their <br />rcspective early voting sitc(s). <br /> <br />Both entities h,\vc;: contraclllJ with Lamar County to provilk electronic voting equipment that meets the <br />requirements of the Texas Elcction Code and the federal Help America Vote Act, the ES&S <br />AutoMAlU( macbines, to be utilized at cach polling site. Expenses rc;laled lo the use of the <br />AutoMARK m::lchines for carly voting use shall be borne directly hy the entity utilizing the machine <br />during early voting. Expenses rdated to the use of the AutoMARK machines at shared polling sites on <br />the May 12,2007, EJection Day, shall be shared equally by the District ano City. <br /> <br />The District and the City shall name and Ilwintain separate election judgcs and dcrks and shall be <br />responsible for compensation for the individuals the emity employs as its election officers. The <br />District and the City will share electronic voting machines as previously detailed. Each entity will be <br />responsible for providing its own election materials and supplic$, and will otherwise ro~t. publicil,c <br />and administer its own election. <br /> <br />The District and the City shall maintain a separate custodian of election records and bear any costs <br />:lssociatcd with thi:; task scpamtdy. <br /> <br />The District and the City ~hall he sc:parately responsible for th~ir own election ord~r~, resolutions, <br />notices, justice d~partm~nt 0ubmi~sions. ol'liclal canvass and oth~r necessary documents for adoption <br />hy the <Ippropriatc \)0:'11'(\ or counc i I. <br /> <br /> <br />EXHIBIT A- <br /> <br />...., T ---.-.,..,...".,. ....-- <br />
