Proposition 14: Amend Section 16, " Number, selection, term," to clarify that the <br />time for the city council to select a new mayor and may or pro tem shall not <br />occur until after any runoff election has been held and canvassed, so that the <br />third paragraph shall read: <br />At the first regular meeting of the council, or special meeting if the same is <br />necessary, after which votes are canvassed for each annual election held in or about <br />May, including any runoff election that is necessary, the newly comprised city <br />council shall elect from among its m embers a mayor and m ayor pro tem, each of <br />whom shall serve at the pleasure of the council.
