<br />MINUTES <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />CITY OF PARIS BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT <br />CITY OF PARIS - CITY HALL <br />COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br />107 E. KAUFMAN STREET <br />PARIS. TEXAS <br />TUESDAY. APRIL 10. 2007 <br />12:00 O'CLOCK P.M. <br /> <br />1. The Board of Adjustment meeting was called to order by Chairman Terry <br />Christian at 12:00 p.m. <br /> <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Kyle Mc Carley <br />Howard Corriston <br />Chester Martindale <br />Alternate: David Glass <br /> <br />B. The following members were absent: <br />Rodney Bass <br />Alternate: Louis Yates <br /> <br />C. Also present were Lisa A. Wright, Community Development Director, <br />and Shawn Napier, City Engineer. <br /> <br />2. Approval of minutes from previous meetings. Motion to approve the minutes <br />of the January 3, 2007, meeting was made by David Glass, seconded by <br />Chester Martindale. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> <br />3. Public Hearing to consider the petition of Todd and Amy Stephens to grant a <br />variance of Zoning Ordinance No. 1710, Section 9-701(1), to modify the <br />required rear yard setback from 10' to 7 %~ which would be a 2 %' variance, <br />on Lot 10, Block M, Oak Creek Addition, Phase VIII, being number 2910 <br />Meandering Way. <br /> <br />Todd Stephens, 2910 Meandering Way, stated that he wanted to install a <br />swimming pool; however, the current setbacks did not allow him to place as <br />closely to the backyard line as needed. <br /> <br />Jim Kays, 2935 Aspen, stated that he did not object to the request, he just <br />wanted to make sure no fences or services will be cut when the pool is <br />installed. <br /> <br />4.
