<br />Minutes <br />Traffic Commission <br />City of Paris <br /> <br />The Traffic Commission met on Tuesday, June 5th, 2007, at 5:15 P.M. in the <br />Municipal Courtroom with the following members present: <br /> <br />1. Ed Seidle <br />2. George Kimbrough <br />3. Jordon Harper <br />4. George Fisher <br />5. Jon McFadden <br />6. Tom Calabria <br />7. Ray Banks <br /> <br />The city staff was represented by Assistant Chief of Police Bob Hundley. <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 5: 15 by Acting Chairman Ed Seidle. <br /> <br />Mr. Seidle asked the commission members to review the submitted minutes of <br />the February 5, 2007 meeting. Mr. Kimbrough made a motion to approve the <br />minutes which was seconded by Mr. Banks. The motion carried 6-0. Mr. <br />McFadden pointed out an error in which Mr. Harper had been referred to as Mr. <br />Jordon. <br /> <br />Mr. Seidle then moved to item #2 for the commission to make nominations for <br />Chairman. Mr. Kimbrough nominated Mr. Seidle for chairman. This nomination <br />was seconded by Mr. Harper. Mr. Banks made a motion for nominations to <br />cease and Mr. Seidle to be elected by acclamation, seconded by Mr. Fisher. <br /> <br />Chairman Seidle then moved to item #4, a request for ordinance regulating a <br />traffic signal that was being installed at the corner of NE 20th Street and Pine <br />Bluff Street. All traffic signals in Paris are presently installed and maintained by <br />the Texas Department of Public Transportation. State law is already in place for <br />traffic control signals, but after discussing the signal installation with the city <br />attorney, there was a need identified for city ordinance for the signal. Mr. Banks <br />made a motion to adopt a city ordinance for the signal location which was <br />seconded by Mr. Kimbrough and passed 7-0. Mr. Calabria had arrived at the <br />meeting by the time this vote was taken. <br /> <br />Item 5 involved commission requested information regarding the Pine Mill Rd and <br />Loop 286 overpass plans and progress. An aerial view digital map was <br />presented to the commission for their inspection. Item 6 involved information <br />regarding the Municipal Maintenance Agreement with TxDOT concerning any <br /> <br />~ .or" <br />
