<br />NOTICE TO BIDDERS <br /> <br />The City of Paris will receive sealed bids until June 19, 2007 at 3:00 P.M. for the furnishing and <br />delivery of Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus for the Paris Fire Department. Sealed bids shall <br />be addressed to the Honorable Mayor and City Council c/o Office of the City Manager, P.O. Box <br />9037 Paris, Texas 75461-9037. <br /> <br />No bids shall be accepted after 3:00 P.M., June 19,2007. At that time, all bids received shall be <br />publicly opened, tabulated and announced. Bids will then be referred to the Mayor and City <br />Council for consideration at a subsequent City Council meeting. The contract may be awarded to <br />the lowest responsible bidder or to the bidder who provides goods or services at the best value for <br />the city. <br /> <br />All bidders are requested to use the attached bid form in submitting their per unit quotes. The City <br />of Paris intends to purchase multiple units of each item depending on price, please indicate <br />quantity level price allowances if any. If explanation or additional room is needed, please use <br />company letterhead and attach to our form. Bid managers are urged to attach a business card to <br />their bid form or fill out the requested company information. Place all bid submission material <br />inside an envelope clearly marked on outside of envelope "SELF-CONTAINED BREATHING <br />APPARATUS BID". <br /> <br />Bidders proposed apparatus must meet the requirements of the attached Specifications section or <br />be approved by the Fire Chief as equal. Bidders who wish to propose apparatus that do not <br />exactly meet the Specifications shall submit documentation and sample equipment to the <br />department for evaluation prior to bid submission. Evaluation dates for substitute apparatus will <br />be from June 11,2007 until June 15, 2007. Bidders desiring to pre-qualify their apparatus as <br />equal to or better than the City's minimum specifications should contact the office of the Fire <br />Chief no later than 5 :00 p.m., June 05, 2007 to schedule a pre-qualification conference. <br />EXCEPTIONS TO THE ATTACHED SPECIFICATIONS WITHOUT PRIOR <br />APPROVAL ARE NOT PERMITTED. <br /> <br />The city of Paris reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in bidding, <br />and to award as may be advantageous to the City of Paris. <br /> <br />No state or municipal sales tax is applicable to this purchase and will not be included in the cost. <br />Payment shall be made in full within ten (10) days after the equipment is received and approved <br />and invoices for same have been furnished. <br /> <br />Questions concerning this bid shall be addressed to the Fire Chiefby phone at (903)784-9208 <br />during regular office hours. <br />
