RESOLUTION NO. f:attorneylresworklcurrentlDeclare Surplus-Auction-eight liners August 6, 2007 DRAFT A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, DECLARING CERTAIN PERSONAL PROPERTY SURPLUSj APPROVING AN AUCTIONEER SERVICE AGREEMENT; MAKING OTHER FlNDINGSAND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THESUlIJECTj AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City of Paris has accumulated certain personal property which does not serve a useful purpose for the City and its operation, and it would be appropriate that said personal property be declared surplus property, a list of said personal property is attached hereto as Exhibit A; and, WHEREAS, it would be appropriate to dispose of said surplus property by auction duly advertised and conducted in conjunction with a larger such auction conducted for Lamar County by Texas Auto Title & Registration Consultants, Inc., P.O. Box 18717, Corpus Christi, Texas 78480, Texas Auctioneer License Numbers TXE12482, TXEI5l71 and TXE15l73, which firm has heretofore been approved for use by State of Texas agencies; and, WHEREAS a proposed Auctioneer Service Agreement with Texas Auto Title & Registration Consultants, Inc. is attached hereto as Exhibit B. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL YED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. That the personal property described in Exhibit A, attached hereto, be, and the same is hereby, declared to be surplus property of the City of Paris, and the same may be disposed in accordance with the laws of the State ofTexas and the Charter of the City of Paris. Section 3. That the form of the Auctioneer Service Agreement with Texas Auto Title & Registration Consultants, Inc., attached hereto as Exhibit B, be, and the same is hereby, approved. Section 4. That the Mayor be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of the City of Paris, the Auctioneer Service Agreement with Texas Auto Title & Registration Cousultants, Inc., substantially in accordance with the terms and conditions and in the form shown in Exhibit B, attached hereto. Section S. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage.
