A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, APPOINTING LAY REPRESENTATIVES TO THE NORTHEAST TEXAS LIBRARY SYSTEM, WHICH TERMS EXPIRE AUGUST 31, 2007; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City of Paris, acting through its Public Library, is desirous of continuing participation in the Northeast Texas Library System; and, WHEREAS, the terms of office of Sarah Gambill, as lay representative to the Northeast Texas Library System, and Jackie Alsobrook, as alternate lay representative, will expire on August 31,2007; and, WHEREAS, the Library Advisory Board of the City of Paris does hereby recommend the appointment of Debbie Anderson as lay representative and Linda Vandiver as alternate lay representative to the NETLS, for terms of two (2) years, beginning September 1, 2007, and ending August 31, 2009; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. That Debbie Anderson be, and she is hereby, appointed to serve as lay representative and that-linda Vandiver be, and she is hereby, appointed to serve as alternate lay representative to the Northeast Texas Library System for terms of two (2) years, beginning September 1, 2007, and ending August 31, 2009. Section 3. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage. PASSED AND APPROVED this 27th day of August, 2007.
