<br />DRAFT <br /> <br />F:ATTORNEY\RESWORK\CURRNETI Judge Appt Res 9-07 <br />July 26, 2007 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />TEXAS, APPOINTING THOMAS E. HUNT, III AS CITY JUDGE FOR THE <br />CITY OF PARIS; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS <br />RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the current term of office of Thomas E. Hunt, III, as City Judge of the City of <br />Paris, will expire on September 30,2007; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, Texas, finds and determines that the <br />reappointment of Thomas E. Hunt, III as City Judge of the City of Paris for a two (2) year term <br />beginning October 1,2007, and ending September 30,2009, is in the best interests of the City and <br />its citizens; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF PARIS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things <br />approved. <br /> <br />Section 2. That Thomas E. Hunt, III is hereby appointed to serve as City Judge of the City <br />of Paris for a term of two (2) years, beginning October 1,2007, and ending September 30,2009. <br /> <br />Section 3.
