ORDINANCE N0. 2007-016 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE TRAFFIC MAP ADOPTED IN SECTION 31-65 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS; REMOVING A LOADING ZONE AND ESTABLISHING A TWO-HOUR PARKING AREA IN THE 100 BLOCK OF SOUTH MAIN STREET ON THE EAST SIDE OF STREET; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $200.00; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, The Traffic Commission at its regular meeting of July 10, 2007, considered a request to remove a loading zone on the east side of the 100 block of South Main Street and to revert this area back to two-hour parking as is common in the downtown area of the City of Paris and approved the request; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That the Traffic Map adopted in Section 31-65 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Texas, be, and the same is hereby, amended to include the following: "Remove Loading Zone on the east side of the 100 block of South Main Street." Section 2. That the Traffic Map adopted in Section 31-65 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be, and the same is hereby, amended to include the following: "Add a Two-Hour Parking designation on the east side of the 100 block of South Main Street." Section 3. All provisions of the ordinances of the City of Paris, Texas in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed, and all other provisions of the ordinances of the City of Paris not in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance shall remain in full force and effect. Section 4. The repeal of any ordinance or part of ordinances affected by the enactment of this ordinance shall not be construed as abandoning any action now pending under or by virtue of such ordinance or as discontinuing, abating, modifying, or altering any penalty accruing or to accrue, or as affecting any rights of the municipality under any section or provisions of any ordinance at the time of passage of this ordinance.
