TEXAS <br />MONDAY. JUNE 25. 2007 <br />4:00 O'CLOCK P.M. <br /> <br />1. The Historic Preservation Commission meeting was called to order by <br />Chairman Arvin Starrett. <br /> <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Arvin Starrett, Chairman <br />Susan Scholz, Secretary <br />Paul Denney, Vice-Chairman <br />Sharron Nabors <br />Ann Rogers <br />Nancy Partridge <br />Pike Burkhart <br />Brain Wear, Alternate <br /> <br />The fOllowing members were absent: <br />Alternate: Vanessa Preston <br /> <br />B. Also present was Lisa A. Wright, Historic Preservation Officer. <br /> <br />2. Consideration of and action on the following Certificate of Appropriateness: <br /> <br />Motion was made by Brian Wear, seconded by Susan Scholz to remove item <br />from table. Motion carried 8-0. <br /> <br />A. 136 Bonham Street - Bill E. Kirby - Bill Kirby stated that they decided to <br />go with a hardiplank and paint it a gray above the canopy. It will be <br />painted the green that's on building diluted by half. Arvin Starrett stated <br />the surface-mounted mullions at the seams are to preserve the window <br />look. Motion was made to approve COA by Ann Rogers, seconded by <br />Susan Scholz. Motion carried 8-0. <br /> <br />Item B was skipped because no one was present, yet, to speak on behalf of <br />the application. <br /> <br />C. 115 Clarksville Street - Reep's Fine Furniture by Charles Brazile - Chuck <br />Brazile stated that he wanted to install a canopy along the length of the <br />building. He planned to put T -111 in 4 X 8 sheets under the canopy. He <br />stated that he needed a lightweight material because the canopy is 87 <br />feet long. Arvin Starrett asked the Commission if they were familiar <br />with T111, and only he and Paul Denney were; therefore, since Mr. <br />Brazile did not bring a sample, Chairman Starrett said he was not <br />comfortable asking the Commission to approve a material they were <br />unfamiliar with. He stated that this canopy would be standard by which <br />future canopies were constructed, and it was far too important to get <br />this right. He recommended that the Commission table the item until <br />
