PD warehouse <br />September 5, 2007 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />TEXAS, DECLARING CERTAIN PERSONAL PROPERTY SURPLUS; <br />APPROVING THE SALE OF SURPLUS PROPERTY AT A PUBLIC <br />AUCTION; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO <br />THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Paris has accumulated certain personal property which does not <br />serve a useful purpose for the City and its operation, and it would be appropriate that said personal <br />property be declared surplus property, a list of said personal property is attached hereto as Exhibit <br />A; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it would be appropriate to dispose of said surplus property by public auction <br />duly advertised and conducted in accordance with the Laws of the State of Texas; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS the Mayor should be authorized to execute on behalf of the City of Paris an <br />Auctioneer Service Agreement in a form approved by the City Attorney of the City of Paris. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF PARIS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things <br />approved. <br /> <br />Section 2. That the personal property described in Exhibit A, attached hereto, be, and the <br />same is hereby, declared to be surplus property of the City of Paris, and the same may be disposed <br />in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas and the Charter of the City of Paris. <br /> <br />Section 3. That the Mayor be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute, on behalf <br />of the City of Paris, an Auctioneer Service Agreement in accordance with the terms and conditions <br />of an agreement approved by the City Attorney of the City of Paris. <br /> <br />Section 4. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage. <br /> <br />PASSED AND APPROVED this 10th day of September, 2007. <br /> <br />Jesse James Freelen, Mayor <br />
