AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE TRAFFIC CONTROL MAP ADOPTED IN SECTION 31-65 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS; ESTABLISHING NO PARKING AREAS ON THE WEST SIDE OF SE rt STREET IN THE 300 BLOCK, LOCATED ON EACH SIDE OF THE DRIVEWAY AT THE REAR OF CHURCH OF THE HOLY CROSS WHICH IS LOCATED ON 322 SOUTH CHURCH STREET; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; PROVIDING FOR A REPEALER CLAUSE, A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, A SAVINGS CLAUSE, A PENALTY CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Church of the Holy Cross, located at 322 South Church Street has a narrow drive that enters from SE l5t Street and provides access to the rear of the church and the offices in which many of the elderly parishioners use; and, WHEREAS, there is concern for the vehicles parked on the west side of the street being struck by persons attempting to back out of this narrow drive and there is a request to establish a no parking area 30 feet long centered on the drive with parking prohibited Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the west curb line ofSE pt Street; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this ordinance are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. That the Traffic Control Map adopted in Section 31-65 (b) of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Texas, be, and the same is hereby, amended to include the following No Parking area: "On the west curb line of SE 18t Street in the 300 block, 30 feet long centered on the drive located at the rear entrance of Church of the Holy Cross, located at 322 S. Church St." Section 2. That all provisions ofthe ordinances of the City of Paris, Texas in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed, and all other provisions of the ordinances of the City of Paris not in conflict with the provisions ofthis ordinance shall remain in full force and effect. _'"'0'. ."..
