RESOLUTION N0. 2007-106 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, DECLARING CERTAIN PERSONAL PROPERTY SURPLUS; APPROVING THE SALE OF SURPLUS PROPERTY AT A PUBLIC AUCTION; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City of Paris has accumulated certain personal property which does not serve a useful purpose for the City and its operation, and it would be appropriate that said personal property be declared surplus property, a list of said personal property is attached hereto as Exhibit A; and, WHEREAS, it would be appropriate to dispose of said surplus property by public auction duly advertised and conducted in accordance with the Laws of the State of Texas; and, WHEREAS the Mayor should be authorized to execute on behalf of the City of Paris an Auctioneer Service Agreement in a form approved by the City Attorney of the City of Paris. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. That the personal property described in Exhibit A, attached hereto, be, and the same is hereby, declared to be surplus property of the City of Paris, and the same maybe disposed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas and the Charter of the City of Paris. Section 3. That the Mayor be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of the City of Paris, an Auctioneer Service Agreement in accordance with the terms and conditions of an agreement approved by the City Attorney of the City of Paris. Section 4. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage. PASSED AND APPROVED this 10th day of September, 2007. ATTEST: xR.
