<br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE <br />BUILDING AND STANDARDS COMMISSION <br />MONDAY, JUNE 18,2007 <br />4:00 O'CLOCK P.M. <br /> <br />1. Chad Brown called the Building and Standards Commission Meeting to order at 4:00 <br />P.M. <br /> <br />Roll was called. <br /> <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Chad Brown <br />David Nabors <br />Vicki Ballard <br />Harrell Tippett <br />Lucius Joe, Jr. <br />Zach Saffle, Alternate <br />Scott Scholz, Alternate <br />Chris Brown, Alternate <br /> <br />B. The following members were absent: <br />Brad Archer <br />Mary Crumpler <br />Stephen Brown, Alternate <br /> <br />In the absence of Brad Archer, the Chairman appointed Vicki Ballard as Acting Secretary for <br />the meeting. The Chairman also stated that alternates would be acting in a voting capacity <br />for the purpose of the meeting. <br /> <br />2. Approval of Minutes of previous meeting: <br />A motion was made by David Nabors, seconded by Vicki Ballard, to approve the meeting <br />minutes for April 16, 2007. The motion carried 7-0. <br /> <br />Zach Saffle arrived 4:05 p.m. <br /> <br />3. Public Hearing to consider presentations by City of Paris Code Inspectors and owner(s) <br />and/or lien holder(s) of the below properties who have been given notice of a violation <br />of Article III of Chapter 7 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, <br />entitled "Substandard and Dangerous Buildings and Structures": <br /> <br />A. 506 E. Price Street; Lot 1, City Block 28 - Motion was made by David Nabors, <br />seconded by Lucius Joe, to allow 30 days to demolish. If the property is not <br />demolished within 30 days, the City may demolish, with a $1,000 per day civil <br />penalty. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />B. 459 1st Street N.E.; Lot 7, City Block 77 - Motion was made by Chad Brown, <br />seconded by David Nabors, to allow 30 days to demolish. If the property is not <br />demolished within 30 days, the City will demolish, with a $1,000 per day civil <br />penalty. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />-- T r-r .-- <br />
