<br />DRAFT <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />f:attorneylresworklcurrentlCouncil Mtg Change Res 2007 <br />November 2, 2007 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />TEXAS, CANCELLING THE CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS SCHEDULED <br />FOR NOVEMBER 26, 2007 AND DECEMBER 24,2007 IN RECOGNITION <br />OF THANKSGIVING AND CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY; MAKING OTHER <br />FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND <br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the second City Council meeting scheduled for Monday November 26, 2007 <br />follows the Thanksgiving Holiday of November 22 and 23,2007; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the second City Council meeting scheduled for Monday December 24,2007 <br />and the Christmas Holidays fall on December 24 and 25, 2007; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is deemed appropriate that the second regularly scheduled City Council <br />Meetings for November and December be cancelled because of the holidays. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL VEn BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF PARIS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble of this resolution are hereby in all things <br />approved. <br /> <br />Section 2. That the regular second meeting of the City Council scheduled for November 26, <br />2007, be, and the same is hereby cancelled. <br /> <br />Section 3. That the regular second meeting of the City Council scheduled for December 24, <br />2007, be, and the same is hereby cancelled. <br /> <br />Section 3. That a copy of this Resolution be placed on the City Hall Bulletin Board giving <br />notice of the cancellations ofthese two City Council Meetings, and that the news media be informed <br />of the cancelled meetings by faxing copies of this Resolution in the same manner they are informed <br />of our posted City Council meetings. <br /> <br />Section 4. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage. <br /> <br />PASSED AND APPROVED this 12th day of November, 2007. <br /> <br />Jesse James Freelen, Mayor <br />
