RESOLUTION N0. 2007-134
<br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
<br />TEXAS, ACCEPTING THE ROUTINE AIRPORT MAINTENANCE
<br />PROGRAM (RAMP) GRANT; AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A
<br />GRANT AGREEMENT FOR TXDOT PROJECT N0. AM 2008PARIS;
<br />MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE
<br />SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
<br />WHEREAS, the Texas Department of Transportation provides funding for Routine Airport
<br />Maintenance Program (RAMP) grants; and,
<br />WHEREAS, the Texas Department of Transportation, Aviation Division, has issued its
<br />Grant Award entitled "Grant for Routine Airport Maintenance Program," TxDOT Project No. AM
<br />2008PARIS, in the total amount of $100,000.00, with the City of Paris providing $50,000.00 in
<br />matching funds; and,
<br />WHEREAS, acceptance of the same requires the execution of a Grant Agreement by and
<br />between the City of Paris and the Texas Department of Transportation, and it is deemed to be in the
<br />best interests of the citizens of Paris that the City of Paris accept said Grant Award to make
<br />improvements to the pavement, to repaint pavement markings, to perform general maintenance, and
<br />other miscellaneous activities at Cox Field Airport; and,
<br />WHEREAS, the form of the Grant Agreement, attached hereto as Exhibit A, should, in all
<br />things, be approved, and the Mayor should be authorized to execute the same;
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
<br />OF PARIS, TEXAS:
<br />Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things
<br />approved.
<br />Section 2. That the "Grant for Routine Airport Maintenance Program," TxDOT Project No.
<br />AM 2008PARIS, in the total amount of $100,000.00, with the City of Paris providing $50,000.00
<br />in matching funds, be, and the same is hereby accepted.
<br />Section 3. That the form of Grant Agreement, attached hereto as Exhibit A, be, and the same
<br />is hereby, approved.
<br />Section 4. That the Mayor, City Clerk, and City Attorney be, and they are hereby, authorized
<br />and directed to execute, on behalf of the City of Paris, the Grant Agreement, under the terms and
<br />conditions and in the form shown in Exhibit A, attached hereto.
<br />Section 5. That this resolution shall become effective from and after its date of passage.
