RESOLUTION N0. 2007-135 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, CANCELLING THE CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS SCHEDULED FOR NOVEMBER 26, 2007 AND DECEMBER 24, 2007 IN RECOGNITION OF THANKSGIVING AND CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the second City Council meeting scheduled for Monday November 26, 2007 follows the Thanksgiving Holiday of November 22 and 23, 2007; and, WHEREAS, the second City Council meeting scheduled for Monday December 24, 2007 and the Christmas Holidays fall on December 24 and 25, 2007; and, WHEREAS, it is deemed appropriate that the second regularly scheduled City Council Meetings for November and December be cancelled because of the holidays. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble of this resolution are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. That the regular second meeting of the City Council scheduled for November 26, 2007, be, and the same is hereby cancelled. Section 3. That the regular second meeting of the City Council scheduled for December 24, 2007, be, and the same is hereby cancelled. Section 3. That a copy of this Resolution be placed on the City Hall Bulletin Board giving notice of the cancellations of these two City Council Meetings, and that the news media be informed of the cancelled meetings by faxing copies of this Resolution in the same manner they are informed of our posted City Council meetings. Section 4. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage. PASSED AND APPROVED this 12th day of November, 2007.
