<br />MINUTES <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />CITY OF PARIS BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT <br />CITY OF PARIS - CITY HALL <br />COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br />107 E. KAUFMAN STREET <br />PARIS. TEXAS <br />TUESDAY. JANUARY 8. 2007 <br />12:00 O'CLOCK P.M. <br /> <br />1. The Board of Adjustment meeting was called to order by Vice Chairman <br />Rodney Bass at 12:00 p.m. <br /> <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Kyle McCarley <br />Rodney Bass <br />Chester Martindale <br />Howard Corriston <br />Alternate: David Glass <br /> <br />B. The following members were absent: <br />Terry Christian <br />Alternate: Louis Yates <br /> <br />C. Also present was Lisa A. Wright, Community Development Director, and <br />Robert Talley, Code Enforcement Officer. <br /> <br />2. Approval of minutes from previous meetings. Motion to approve the minutes <br />of the November 13, 2007, meeting was made by David Glass, seconded by <br />Chester Martindale. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> <br />3. Public hearing to consider the petition of Paris Living, by Chris Whitaker, <br />agent, to grant a variance of Zoning Ordinance No. 1710 as follows: (1) <br />Section 9-301, to modify the required lot depth from 100' to 60~ which would <br />be a 40' variance; (2) Section 9-501, to modify the required front yard setback <br />from 25' to 20~ which would be a 5' variance; (3) Section 9-602(5), to modify <br />the required front yard setback at the corner from 25' to 20~ which would be <br />a 5' variance; and (4) Section 9-701(1), to modify the required rear yard <br />setback from 10' to 7'2", which would be a 2'10" variance, on Lot 1, City Block <br />231-A, being number 1384 w: Booth Street. <br /> <br />The public hearing was declared open. <br /> <br />Chris Whitaker - agent for Paris Living - spoke in favor of the petition. Mr. <br />Whitaker stated they are proposing turning the house to front 14th Street <br />because it will not fit on the lot as situated. The house would have two big <br />side yards and a small back yard. <br /> <br />No one spoke in opposition. <br />Public hearing was declared closed. <br /> <br />T ~- 'f' <br />
