MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE MAIN STREET ADVISORY BOARD June 19,2007 City Hall Council Chambers 107 East Kaufman Street 4:00 p.m. A meeting of the members of the Paris Main Street Advisory Board was held Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at 4:10 p.m., in City Hall Council Chambers. PRESENT: Jennifer Long (Vice Chairman) Pike Burkhart Zach Saffle Cindy Allcorn Matthew Coyle ABSENT: Casey Rose Drew Crawford Lisa House Minutes May IS, 2007 minutes were reviewed by board members and a motion was made by Pike Burkhart to approve the minutes as prepared. Zach Saffle seconded and minutes were unanimously approved. Development of Festival of Pumpkins committee Karol Lyn Moore, Matthew Coyle, Cindy Allcorn, Suzy Harper and Pike Burkhart Jr. volunteered to serve on the committee. A meeting was scheduled for June 27th @ 5:30 PM. Discussion of committee structure within the Main Street Advisory Board The board discussed the subject at length and agreed committees have been disorganized with several committee chairman positions vacant and several committees not meeting on a regular basis. Members of the advisory board suggested that the two vacant committee chair positions be filled and that perhaps committees can begin meeting regularly with the Main Street Manager coordinating those meetings for them. Board members expressed that attending meetings wasn't a problem rather scheduling the meetings was the issue. Committee Reports Organization - Pike reported that a new billboard has been placed on Interestate 30 in Royce City. The billboard is in keeping with the proposed gateway signs to be installed later this year. Design - Website domain has been established and construction of the site has begun.
