Arrests for Index crimes per officer <br />and Index crime arrests per Index crime is higher than in most of the comparison <br />cities reviewed. These arrests were not the only arrests made but only the <br />arrests for Index Crimes. During the study period (October 1, 2006 to September <br />30, 2007), Paris officers made a total of 2,882 arrests or almost eight custodial <br />arrests a day. This indicates that officers and detectives are strongly engaged in <br />crime control activities. <br />Page 18 <br />
