BID SPECIFICATIONS Portland Cement Concrete Requirements: It is estimated that 2,000 total cubic yards of Portland Cement Concrete will be required in the operation of the various divisions of Public Works during the period of March 1, 2008 through March 1, 2009. Exact quantities cannot be determined, but estimates are given as shown above. Quantities may be increased or decreased to meet the requirement of the operations of the Public Works Department during the period shown above. A minimum is not guaranteed. Specifications: Portland Cement Concrete must conform to Item 421, 2004 edition of "Texas Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Construction and Maintenance of Highways, Streets and Bridges State Department of Highways and Public Transportation Specifications" or later edition. All materials must be from an approved TXDOT material source. Bidder must provide documentation that material has been tested and meets TXDOT specifications. Material will be sampled randomly during delivery and testing by the City of Paris. Failure of material to meet TXDOT specifications will be reason for termination of purchase order and/or removal from bid list. The Portland Cement Concrete Plant and related equipment shall be of an approved type and size that will provide uniform distribution of material throughout the mass, and shall be capable of producing concrete mix meeting the requirements of these specifications. Deliverv• Delivery to be made to the project sites within and near the City of Paris, Texas. Deliveries are to be made in continuous-type mixing trucks from 0 to 8 cubic yards as needed for various Public Works construction projects. The exact cubic yards needed will be requested when orders are placed. Routine deliveries will be made during the hours of 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., Monday through Friday; special deliveries will be scheduled in advance by the Public Works Department in order to meet work requirements.
