current water customers, to any person, entity or corporation outside Lamar County, <br />Texas; except upon a special election and vote of the duly qualified and registered voters of <br />the City of Paris, Texas. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, TEXAS THAT: <br />Section 1. The findings set out in the preamble to this ordinance are hereby in all <br />things approved. <br />Section 2. No raw water from Lake Pat Mayse shall be sold by the City of Paris to <br />any person, corporation or other legal entity located outside of Lamar County, Texas, <br />without first putting the issue of such sale to a vote of the registered voters of the City of <br />Paris, Texas. <br />Section 3. The approval or denial of any such proposed sale submitted to the <br />registered voters of the City of Paris, Texas, shall be decided by a simple majority of those <br />registered voters of the City of Paris, Texas who vote in any election called hereunder. <br />Section 4. Nothing contained herein shall be deemed to prohibit the City of Paris <br />from unilaterally selling treated water from Lake Pat Mayse. <br />Section 5.
