RESOLUTION N0. 2008-026 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, AWARDING THE BID FOR THE PURCNASE OF THREE STRYKER POWER PRO MODEL 6500 AMBULANCE STRETCHERS AND OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT FOR USE IN THE EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES DEPARTMENT; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Council of the Ciry of Paris did heretofore, on the 17th day of September, 2007, in Budget Ordinance No. 2007-029, authorize the advertisement for bids for the purchase of three (3) Stryker Power Pro Model 6500 Ambulance Stretchers and optional equipment for use in the Emergency Medical Services Department, which bids were received until 3:00 o'clock p.m., Tuesday, the 11th day of March, 2008; and, WHEREAS, the lowest responsible bid providing the best value for the City was made by Stryker Corporation of 3800 East Centre Ave., Portage MI 49002, Texas, and it should be awarded the bid for the same; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble of this resolution are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. That the bid of the Stryker Corporation for three (3) Stryker Power Pro Model 6500 Ambulance Stretchers and optional equipment in the amount of $10,858 per unit, be, and the same is hereby, accepted as the lowest responsible bid which provides the best value to the City (see Bid Tabulation attached hereto as Exhibit A), conditioned upon said stretchers meeting all of the terms and specifications included in the bid documents. Section 3. That this resolution shall be effective from and after the date of passage. PASSED AND APPROVED this 14th day of April 2008.
