NOTICE TO BIDDERS The City of Paris will receive sealed bids at the office of the City Manager, P.O. Box 9037, Paris, Texas 75461-9037, for the furnishing and delivery of four (4) battery powered hydraulic lift ambulance stretchers and all specified components. This equipment is to be assigned to the Paris Emergency Medical Services Department. Sealed bids shall be addressed to the Honorable Mayor and City Council, c/o Office of the City Manager, P.O. Box 9037, Paris, Texas 75461-9037. No bid shall be received later than 3:00 P.M., Tuesday, March 11, 2008, at which time bids received shall be publicly opened, tabulated and announced. Location for bid opening shall be at the City of Paris Council Chambers, 107 East Kaufinan, Paris, TX. Bids will then be referred to the Mayor and City Council for consideration during the regular council session on Monday, March 24, 2008 starting at 6:00 P.M. All bidders are requested to use the attached form in submitting their total quotes. If explanation or additional room is needed, please use company letterhead and attach to our form. NO EXCEPTIONS. Managers are urged to attach a business card to their bid form or fill out the requested company information. The contract may be awarded either to the lowest responsible bidder or to the bidder who provides goods or services at the best value for the City of Paris. In determining best value for the City, importance shall be placed on price, provision of the exact equipment specified, warranty and maintenance, and some importance being placed on a reasonable delivery date. The City of Paris reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities, and to award as may be advantageous to the City of Pairs. Bidders shall note that a delivery time is included as a part of the formal bids. No state or municipal sales tax is applicable to this purchase and will not be included in the cost.
