Lisa Denman said by restricting tempora.ry signs, such as bullet signs and marque signs they <br />were hurting businesses. Gene Ray agreed with Ms. Denman. Chairman Wilson said it was not fair <br />that some were complying with the law and then others were allowed to have temporary signs and <br />permanent signs. Mayor Freelen agreed with Chairman Wilson. <br />There was discussion by the Task Force to allow torpedo signs to be converted into <br />permanent signs. Chairman Wilson suggested they take this item up af the next meeting, because <br />they had already run over their meeting time by forty-five minutes. <br />6. Adjourn City Council meeting. <br />There being no further business of the City Council, a Motion to adjourn was made by <br />Council Member Biard and seconded by Council Member Brown. Motion carried unanimously. <br />The meeting was adjourned at 7:45 p.m. <br />7. Approval of minutes from previous meetings. (Apri122, 2008) <br />A Motion to approve the minutes was made by Bee Garmon and seconded by Jim Lassister. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />8. Continued discussion of and possible action on recommending revisions to the ordinance <br />regulating large animals within the city limits. <br />The Committee did not reach this item. <br />9. Request items for future agendas. <br />Chairman Wilson scheduled the next meeting for Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at 5:30 p.m. <br />10. Adjournment. <br />There being no further business, a Motion to adjourn was made by Jim Lassister and <br />seconded by Don Taylor. Motion carried unanimously.
