(Attachment) <br />ATPA-24 <br />All agencies in our coverage area have contact numbers for the Task Force officers. This way, our officers are able to be in <br />contact with the agencies either day or night, as needed. The investigators and patrol officers of the agencies utilize our ofFicers <br />to assist in everyway necessary, twenty-four hours a day. In fact, all divisions of State, Local, N.I.C.B., F.B.I., or out of state <br />agencies know they can cail us whenever needed. The wonderFul working relationship we have with these people is the main <br />reason we are able operate as effectively as we do, because we could not operate without the assistance of the D.P.S. Motor <br />Vehicle Theft Service Sergeants assigned to our area. <br />Our officers are also trained in cultural-diversity classes as mandated by law. <br />The Northeast Texas ATTF spends 100% of its time investigating auto thefts or related crimes. Our Task Force scheduled three <br />officer training classes this year for our area, and we assisted in two classes at the Texarkana Police Academy. We also had a <br />public awareness booth at the county fair, car show, and National Night Out. <br />Functions of Sianificant Personnel Involved <br />The Sergeant is responsible for the daily operation of the Task Force, administrative records, salvage inspections, dealer <br />inspections, TxDOT 68A inspections, and investigation of cases assigned to the Task Force. Public awareness and training is <br />coordinated through the Sergeant. <br />The Investigator assigned to the Task Force is responsible for the cases assigned to him, salvage inspections, dealer <br />inspections, TxDOT 68A inspections, and assists in public awareness. <br />.ql 0083 <br />ABTPA-25 <br />
