The overall percmt asbestos for the sample is reported when relevant. The EPA considers a materia] W be asbestos containing <br />only if it conteins gresur than one perccnt asbestos by Calibrated Visual Area Estimation (CVAE). EPA regulations also indicau that Regulaud AsbesWS Containing <br />Materiats (RACM) - materials that are friable or may become friable - be further analyzed by point counting when the resulu indicate less then ten percent asbestos by <br />CVAE. CatesLab utilizes CVAE on a routine basis and dces not include point counting unless specifically requested by the client. The results may not be reproduced <br />except in fiill. <br />
