RESOLUTION NO. 2002-0030 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF LABOR AND MATERIALS FOR THE INSTALLATION OF A CHAIN LINK FENCE AROUND THE W ASTEW A TER TREATMENT PLANT; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, Section 317.7(e) of Title 30, Part 1, Chapter 317 of the Texas Administrative Code, entitled Design Criteria for Sewerage Systems, requires that wastewater treatment plant areas be completely surrounded by an eight-foot fence with a minimum single apron barbed wire outrigger for protection of the plant; and, WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 17th day of September, 200 1, in Ordinance No. 200 1-061, authorize the purchase of labor and materials to build a such fence around the Wastewater Treatment Plant; and, WHEREAS, it is deemed appropriate that the purchase of said labor and materials be approved and that the same be authorized for advertisement for bids; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. That the purchase of labor and materials to build a fence around the Wastewater Treatment Plant be, and the same is hereby, approved. Section 3. That such purchase of labor and materials be advertised for bids to be received after due notice at the office of the City Manager of the City of Paris, City Hall, 135 1st Street S.E., Paris, Texas 75460, until 3:00 o'c1ockp.m. on Tuesday, March 5,2002, at which time said bids will be opened in the City Council Chamber, City Hall, 135 1st Street S.E., Paris, Lamar County, Texas, and bids will be tabulated and presented to the City Council at a later date for the purpose of letting such bid. Section 4. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage.
