CITY COUNCIL AGENDA Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Paris shall meet in regular session on Monday, August 11, 2008 at 4:00 p.m. The meeting will be held at the City Council Chamber, 107 E. Kaufinan Street, in Paris, Texas. The matters to be discussed and acted upon are as follows: Opening Agenda 1. Call meeting to order. 2. Invocation. 3. Pledge of Allegiance. 4. Citizens' forum. (Persons desiring to address the Council must limit their presentation to no more than two minutes. The Texas Open Meetings Act prohibits the Council from responding to any comments other than to refer the matter to a future agenda, to an existing policy, or to a staff person with specific factual information. Claims against the City, Council Members, or employees, as well as individual personnel appeals are not appropriate for citizens' forum.) Consent Agenda Items on the Consent Agenda are approved by a single action of the Council, with such approval applicable to all items appearing on the Consent Agenda. A Council Member may request any item to be removed from the Consent Agenda and considered as a separate item. 5. Deliberate and act on the approval of minutes from the meetings on July 28, 2008 and August 4, 2008. 6. Receive and deliberate on reports and/or minutes from the following boards, commissions, and committees: a. Lake Pat Mayse Study Committee. (6-26-2008 and 7-10-2008) b. City Council Task Force on Code Enforcement. (7-1-2008) c. Planning and Zoning Commission. (8-4-2008) d. Main Street Advisory Board. (1-15-08; 2-19-08; 3-18-08; 4-15- 08; 6-17-08; 7-22-08) 7. Deliberate and acceptance of July monthly financial report. 8. Deliberate and act on a Resolution acknowledging formal receipt of the Certified 2008 Appraisal Roll. 9. Deliberate on drainage ditch maintenance report. lO.Report on goals and objectives. 1 l.Deliberate and act on bids for chemicals to be used at the Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants.
