storage and placement of recreational vehicles. <br />Chairman Wilson referred the Committee to draft two of the travel trailer ordinance and <br />reviewed the proposed changes as requested by the Committee. There was discussion about whether <br />or not the exemption would stay with the special vehicle or with the property where the special <br />vehicle was located. It was a consensus of the Committee to make the following changes: <br />In General. <br />2) was moved to the "exceptions" section since it will apply only to grandfathered <br />vehicles and expanded in that section to include "or if no curb line exists, 11 feet <br />from the existing roadway." <br />3) 14 maximum days per calendar year was added. <br />9) the words "within any portion of the side yard or rear yard which is" were deleted. <br />Exceptions. <br />(a) the words "item 1"(from the "In General" section) are to be inserted between the <br />words "the" and "Chief." <br />(b) this section was added and shall read: this exception shall apply only to the registered <br />vehicle registered at that specific location. <br />Registration of Special Vehicles. <br />2) the words "from item 1" (from the "In General" section) are to be inserted between <br />the words "exempY" and "from." <br />Chairman Wilson asked Lisa Wright to explain the procedure for registering a special vehicle <br />with the City. Lisa Wright said the person who wishes to register a special vehicle should come to <br />her office and complete a form that will be developed. After completion of the form, a Code <br />Enforcement Officer will go to the location and take a photograph to document the vehicle being <br />grand-fathered, then the Police Chief will be forwarded the application to determine if it meets the <br />safety requirements. If the vehicle meets the safety requirement, it will be registered with the City. <br />Ms. Wright also stated there would be no registration fee. <br />Subject to the above changes, a Motion to accept this Ordinance was made by Pete Kampfer <br />and seconded by Cheryt Moore.
