MINUTES OF THE REGUALR <br />MEETING OF THE <br />MAIN STREET ADVISORY BOARD <br />March 18, 2008 <br />Citv Hall Council Chambers <br />107 E. Kaufman <br />4:00 p.m. <br />A meeting of the members of the Paris Main Street Advisory Board was held Tuesday, March 18, <br />2008 at 4:05 p.m., at City Hall Council Chambers. <br />PRESENT: Kari Daniel <br />ABSENT: Marvin Gorley <br />Wyatt Bowden <br />Jennifer Long <br />Cindy Allcorn <br />Matthew Coyle <br />Pike Burkhart <br />Larry Womack <br />Karol Lyn Moore <br />Cli$on Fendley <br />Zach Saffle <br />Minutes <br />February 19, 2008 minutes were reviewed by board members and a motion was made by Pike <br />Burkhart to approve the minutes as prepared. Cindy Allcorn seconded the motion and minutes <br />were unanimously approved. <br />Pumnkin Fesdval <br />April - May Vendor applications need to be sent out & in June-July Grants to help fund event <br />need to be filed & donor letters need to be sent out. A subcommittee will be formed for the <br />Pumpkin Festival to make decisions on decoration, entertainment, and events. It was suggested <br />that several people from the Paris Downtown Association be brought in to help. The committee <br />will meet on April 14t' at 5:00 at the Aikin Building Downtown. <br />Archerv Tournament <br />Main Street will have a concession stand at the upcoming archery tournament at the Love Civic <br />Center. There will also be shuttle buses bringing people from the civic center to downtown and <br />other areas around Paris. Food is purchased by the Chamber of Commerce and profits are split <br />evenly between Main Street and Main Street. <br />Grand Theatre <br />The Paris Downtown Assaciation raised $8,000 with Fashion Show. The Downtown <br />Association, they Historic Preservation, Economic Development and the City of Paris all have an <br />interest in the project. Pike suggested that Main Street needs to be the driving force of the project <br />and have control over it. It was suggested that we being talking to people who would be <br />interested in serving to help get this project really going. Cindy Allcorn made a motion to form a <br />committee; Pike Burkhart seconded and it passed unanimously. <br />Cindy Allcorn made a motion to put Wyatt Bowden as chairman of the committee and Pike <br />Burkhart seconded the motion. <br />M OO0n39 <br />
