MINUTES OF THE REGULAR <br />MEETING OF THE <br />MAIN STREET ADVISORY BOARD <br />July 22nd, 2008 <br />Citv Hall Council Ghambers <br />107 E. Kaufman <br />4:OOp.m. <br />A meeting of the members of the Paris Main Street Advisory Board was held Tuesday, June 22, 2008 at 4:00 p.m., at City Hall Council <br />Chambers. <br />PRESENT: <br />Bethany Golden <br />Kari Daniel <br />Wyatt Bowden <br />Matthew Coyle <br />Clifton Fendley <br />KarolLyn Moore <br />Jennifer Long <br />ABSENT: <br />Cindy Allcorn <br />Man¢er's Reaort <br />City Cauncil reformed board to indude 7 members only. Larry Womack & Pike Burkhart resignecl; Zach Saffle & Marvin Gorley was <br />taken off the board. Marvin Gorley offered to still serve on committees where-ever needed. <br />Bobby Smallwood has started working on estimates for the Grand Theatre. He has been on the roof to locate all holes that birds have <br />been using to get in and took pictures. One opening has already been fixed by simply moving its cover over. He will be getting his <br />estimate to Beth in the next week. Waiting on facade assessment from Sue before we can begin work on the facade. <br />Tour de Paris will be July 19th and will include a Downtown route this year. Bleachers will be setup at the fonntain. <br />Christmas lighting - The city may own easements behind buildings to put up meters witch will make the project a little easier. Simple <br />agreements will be written up with building owners. Once the easements are established and agreements are finished the next step will <br />be getting the meters and the lights up. <br />Committee Reaorts <br />Organization Committee - No Report <br />Design Committee Report - A bid for meters has been put in for $3536.00. This mid includes the 4 meters and getting electrical to the <br />lights. The 4 meter locations will be at the Vault, the Paris Community Theatre, the Moffit Building and SmallTown Rags. Bid does not <br />include the lights or running the lights. There will be room for expansion and will work for regular lighting or LED lighting. <br />Planters discussed in the past will come after lighting pmject is finished. <br />Pramotions Committee Report - We now have 2 Movies in the Parks behind us. Both were very well attended and covered by the <br />NewsPaper. No complaints so far. Ramp it Up '08 will be this upcoming weekend. Kari & Wyatt will be meeting with Game XChange <br />on Thursday to make sure alt plans are finalized. Concessions will be provided by the Downtown Associarion at this event as well as the <br />Movies in the Park events. <br />Economic Restructuring Committee Report - Clifton asked for contact information for guidance from the State Main Street program. <br />Bethany will be getting him that information. <br />Repuest For Future Aeenda Items <br />New Organization chairman <br />Possible Recycling programs & grants <br />Art Program for the Skate Park <br />Pumpkin Festival - A special Pumpkin Festival meeting was planned for August Sth at 4:00 at the City Gouncil Chambers. <br />Adiournment <br />A motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Matthew Coyle and seconded by Kari Daniel.
