CITY COUNCIL AGENDA ITEM BRIEFING SHEET Submittal Date: 8-04-08 Council Date: Originating Department: Engineering Presented By: Shawn Napier, City Engineer Agenda Item No.: 28. 8-11-08 RECOMMENDED MOTION: Motion to approve the Preliminary and Master plats of Paris Care Center and deny the Final Plat of Paris Care Center Subdivision located at 2880 Stillhouse Road, because an off-site utility easement for the subdivision was not completed. POLICY ISSUE(S): Plat Approval and easement acceptance BACKGROUND: This property is located 3/4 of a mile from Loop 286 on Stillhouse Road. This development is across Stillhouse from the Omega 306 site approved in the last couple of months. The Master plat for this property includes over 88 acres. The preliminary and final plat is five acres. All of the property is outside of the City limits. The proposed development is Paris Nursing and Rehab. The only infrastructure improvement will include extending water lines to the property (at their cost) and sewer lines already exist. An off-site utility easement is needed for this development in order to loop in a water line to the apartment complex south of this development. BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: The Commission recommended approval of the final plat, subject to City Engineer's recommendations by a vote of 5-0.
